Brownies Visit |
||
|
It was a pleasure to visit the 4th Addington Brownies, Peacock Gardens Forestdale and spend the evening talking about important topics that help keep young people safe and informed. We discussed keeping safe, recognising good and bad choices, and the role that making positive decisions plays in everyday life. The girls were engaged throughout and contributed some excellent ideas and examples during our discussions. We also had the opportunity to talk about police uniform and equipment, learning about what different items are used for and why officers wear them. To bring this to life, the Brownies took part in a fun uniform relay race, testing their teamwork and speed while learning more about policing. The session finished with an introduction to the phonetic alphabet, where the girls learned how officers communicate clearly and accurately over the radio. They quickly picked it up and enjoyed practising their new skills. A huge thank you to the leaders and all the Brownies for making us feel so welcome. It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm, participation and curiosity throughout the evening.
